THE UPGRADED BMW X3 M50!

BMW has given its M Performance X3 a major power boost alongside an all-new stealthy Black Package!

BMW has officially unveiled the X3 M50 xDrive Black Package. This variant features distinctive stealthy interior and exterior enhancements and, most notably, an increase in power output. The Black Package produces 326 kW, which is 33 kW more than the standard M50 xDrive’s 293 kW. Torque remains at 580 N.m, delivered to all four wheels through an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
According to the manufacturer, this power increase results in an improved 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds, making it two-tenths of a second faster than the standard model. It should be noted that this updated tuning will be applied to both the Black Package and the standard M50 xDrive. BMW reports an average fuel consumption of 8.1 L/100 km based on WLTP standards.

The Black Package includes 22-inch Polygon M light-alloy wheels in black and high-gloss black M Sport brake calipers. The exterior features high-gloss black M logos with silver outlines. This aesthetic continues inside the cabin, which showcases extensive black BMW Individual Alcantara upholstery, M logo headrests, black Alcantara and Veganza seating with blue contrast stitching and piping, and the BMW Individual CraftedClarity glass package. Additionally, the M steering wheel is accented with a leather airbag impact absorber.

BMW South Africa confirmed that the Black Package will be available locally starting in the third quarter of 2027. Pricing details will likely be shared closer to the release, but just a heads-up that the standard X3 M50 xDrive starts at R1,565,447.
What's new with the 2027 BMW X3?
Even though the Black Package is just for the M50 xDrive, BMW is rolling out tons of updates for all 2027 X3s. Key tweaks include a new PVC Softskin surface for the screen and fresh stitching on the dash. They’re also adding a new look for the glovebox handle and stainless-steel guards for the trunk sill. Dark Silver door sills and black M logos are coming to all M Sport and M Performance models too.
