LDV T60 Utility arrives as sub-R300k single-cab bakkie

This vehicle prioritizes functionality over aesthetics, offering a 500kg greater towing capacity than a Raptor, as it is designed for demanding work.

The LDV T60 Utility comes in two versions: single-cab and double-cab. The single-cab is 5,395mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,830mm tall, with a 3,155mm wheelbase. The double-cab is 5,365mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,809mm to 1,840mm tall, with the same wheelbase as the single-cab.


The T60 Utility has a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that puts out 120 kW and 410 N.m of torque. It's a four-cylinder and comes with a six-speed manual transmission. You can get it with either 4x2 or 4x4. LDV says the T60 Utility gets 7.5 L/100 km on the highway and 8.7 L/100 km in the city. The new model has a 73-liter fuel tank. It can carry up to 1,170 kg and tow 3,000 kg with brakes.


It comes standard with Bluetooth and air conditioning. For safety, the T60 Utility has two airbags (for the driver and front passenger) and ABS with EBD.

The LDV T60 Utility Single Cab starts at R299,900 for the two-wheel-drive and R358,900 for the 4x4. The Double Cab goes for R389,900 for the 4x2 and R429,900 for the 4x4. All prices include a five-year/200,000 km warranty and a five-year/100,000 km service plan.
